Can somebody answer my cruise control issue?
I have a 95' cherokee with the cruise control buttons on the base of the steering wheel. I press the "on" button and then the "set" button and the cruise kicks in momentarily then shuts off. If I hold down the "set" button the cruise stays on but who wants to hold down the button the whole time they're driving. I've already replaced the buttons with one's that were supposed to be good. Any ideas? I don't have a light on the dash when I press the "on" button. Am I supposed to? Also, since it momentarily comes on then I shouldn't have a problem with the fuse right?

I know this says it is for a Grand Cherokee but this may be of some help.

Hi...the on light should be lighted when u depress it....
Mine is a 96 and the operation light is on the button itself...
My cruise control works intermittently....
At a certain degree of the steering.....
I found that my horn will not work when travelling 80kph and above....
At any lower speed...it will blast off....
I must press the top part of my steering for it to work....
Changed my clock spring....and all went well......
Just sharing after doing all the vaccum check...fuse check...bla bla bla
Hope this helps so u can eliminate that the clock spring is not the culprit.
Good luck:-)
