I am trying to get my Cherokee through emissions !!!! I have replaced the o2 sensor, and the EGR valve (after failing again). Let me back up. OK I took it through emission and it passed, everything except the fuel cap (failed) So I bought a new cap, filled up on fuel and put some isopropyl alcohol in the tank. Then I went through a second time. This time the NOX to high (5.71) but I passed on everything else. Now is where I put on the new EGR (the o2 sensor was put on before the first test). I wanted to test the ECC, but did not get any engine light with the jumper wire & key in the on position. so hence my ??? OOOh and it does have a bad idle & seems like it may be missing. I did check the dist cap & plug wires.

Today I bought carb cleaner. I sprayed all the vac. lines no change in idle. I also syphoned all the fuel out & replace with Chevron 92 oct. Then I ran it on the freeway for about 12 miles, still no change. Tomorrow I will run it through emissions.
