Default Can I use an older door on my XJ??

I found a used rear door for my '97 Sport. It has power windows and locks. Can I use the door I found which is off a '96?

It would fit but the mirror and interior would be different, and I'm not sure you could wire up the lock and window switches easily. 97-01 would be better

I recall reading that it can be done, but some adjustment of the striker plate is needed.

The answer is no.

96 back have the wing window, 97 up do not.

As mentioned.......the strike.

Guts are different.

I've been looking for 2 years now for 97up doors for my MJ............it takes time.
