Can I put coil spacers on already lifted jeep?
I have a 2000 cherokee with a 4.5 rough country and I just got 1 3/4 daystar coil spacers. First of all that shock is huge and it kicked my *** taking it out and I thought how the hell am I going to be able to get that spacer in there, so I went back and looked at the installation kit and at the top it said do not use on lift or altered suspension should I go ahead and throw it on there. I just dont want to mess up anything so I thought I'd ask the experts. Also I go mudding once in a blue moon and mailnly drive it to school and around town if that helps. Thanks for helping

I am guessing you are talking about the coil instead of the shock. Yea i have a hell of a time taking my coils in and out. A lot of people on here run spacers on an already lifted xj. Never really heard of a problem with that. Just depends on how high you go. The problem you will most likely run into going above a 4.5" lift is needing an SYE ($$$), expecially with the newer XJ's. A couple suggestions that might help drop the axle lower to remove the coils is disco the sway bar, shocks and LCA's.
Also what are your plans for the rear?
Thanks,
Will I need SYE no matter what or just a suggestion or could end up needing it how much is it? I have no plans for the back i guess in Mt. Pleasant SC we like our rides sagging. Ive always loved that lean to a suv or truck but if the spacers dont work could i take out a leaf from the back or somehow lower the back in anyway.

Well I give you my input. I have a 4.5 lift and I'm adding 2inch coils spacers to the front. Adding the spacers onto a longer coil is fine. Just dont start stacking them. Now for the back. I am usging 2inch shackles from RC to level the back up with the front. Shackles are cheap and usually somewhat adjustable. And finally the last issue of the SYE... At 4.5 inches you def want to start thinking about getting one. At that hightower the driveline angles are to steep. A nice SYE will cost you around $200-$300, then you have to get a longer drive shaft... I am going the path of the "hack n tap". It's basically a cheape way of doing it. I'm getting mine from iron rock offorad. $199 for the kit and it includes a referbished drive shaft.
Thanks,
What would be the worse that could happen if i didnt do anything, besides just putting the spacer under the spring. Or is there anything i could do to drop the back like an inch or so?

Google it. It's probably easier than someone having to type it all here. There's a ton of existing information about what it is, and how to do it (with pictures), where to buy etc. drawbacks and benefits.
Here are some of the results from the google.
