I'm new to the Jeep world, but not new to automotives. I just bought a 1990 Cherokee with the in-line 6 and NP231j t-case with SYE. My question is can I extend the vacuum lines to the vacuum switch on the back of the t-case.

Why ?

If it is a standard rubber vacuum hose then yes you can extend it with a longer one.

They are the hard plastic lines! Doesn't matter- you can extend them either way. Are you wanting to put a switch in to control the CAD

The reason I need to extend the line is that the SYE moves the vacuum switch and the lines do not reach. Thanks for the replies.

Yeah, you can use rubber vac line to extend, but........its a flawed system anyway. I would permanently lock the front in, or use a posi lock.
I found so many leaks/broken line in my system, I just went ahead and locked my axle in.
