can ford ranger coil springs work for xj lift?

I was hoping to stay away from the spacers and just use a coils that away later if i wanted a bigger lift i could just add a small spacer also i don't know how dependable the spacers are will they break or kick out or anything like that?

Spacers can't slip out, they look like donuts similar to the existing rubber pad. I used zj(v8) springs with the extra pad and got about 2.5-3 lift
Yeah mine. I used 92 ford cougar springs from a V6. Unfortunately they do require an adapter that can be made easily yourself but I think they ride just as good or better than stock on road while providing good ground clearance and performance off road. Check out my blog below for details.
Just to let you know I got 3.5 - 4 inches of lift out of these.

well i was looking at the sights about tbird coils and it said there are two diff kinds 83-88 was more lift and the 89-97 has lees lift so for a xj wanting to run 31/10/50's with out having to replace a bunch of stuff

are they still in good shape?
