I want to take my front bumper off and this is mounted inside it on the passanger side. can anyone tell me what this is?? thanks

This has been discussed numerous times. Thats the jeep egg, with out it the engine will explode... No, without it you wont have cruise, or the blend doors for the heater wont work.

Well, you see, as mentioned above when a mommy Jeep and a daddy Jeep love each other very much, they make a Jeep egg. If you take care of it, keep it warm and leak free, if you ever destroy your current Jeep or have an accident, a baby Jeep will hatch from the egg.




Lol, I'm sorry, I couldn't resist. But yes, as also mentioned above, that is the vacuum ball, balloon, egg, ********, whatever you want to call it. IIRC, it gives vacuum to the cruise control and vent door.

Move it up into the engine compartment and eliminate all the vacuum lines that will eventually get eaten by battery acid sooner or later.
