Can anyone help question on Hemi
Hello All,
I am interested in the new Overland Cherokee and trying to decide between Hemi and 6 banger. I am assuming there is a speed where the "4 cylinder shutoff" mode in the hemi is no longer able to sustain a constant freeway speed. I am unable to get anyone to answer this at the dealer.
I am interested as we drive a 4WD regularly to our cabin and the traffic often moves at 80 mph. I am wondering if I can travel at this speed in 4 cylinder mode enjoying improved mileage or will the engine need to operate in 8 cylinder standard mode. There is a significant mileage difference stated. If it can run in 4 cylinder mode, the 6 cyl vs Hemi mileage difference is tolerable.
Any help anyone can give on this topic would be greatly appreciated.
Regards
Roger
