Camshaft synchronizer replacement

Camshaft synchronizer replacement
I've watched videos on replacement of this. In the videos they show how to set up for top dead center on an engine block not in a vehicle , then they show the install on a engine in a vehicle . My question is , what is the best way to set the timing to instal this new part without taking every thing off , etc coils and spark plugs? Any ideas?
