I have to change my camshaft sensor. If I just change the top end do I have to sync it, or is that if I change the lower end.

By the way its a 2000 XJ without a distributor.

 

the top end is fixed, no you don't have to do anything.

 

Top comes off leaving the mechanical pickup.

So no loss of sync.

 

Thanks. That is what I was hoping to hear. I already changed the crank sensor a few weeks back. Its hard to tell exactly which one it is bc the both sensors share codes. Lets hope the autozone crank sensor wasn't defective
