Default Camshaft Compatibility 87-95 fit in 01 Block??

I have a 93 XJ, when I got it I had to replace the engine, so I went with a long block out of an ‘01. Engine has had low oil pressure since I put it in. Finally narrowed it down to worn cam bearings so I’m looking into replacing the cam. My question is will I need to use the same cam that came out which is casting #53010397 which runs about $220 or can I use a cam out of an 87-95 which runs about $120. Thanks guys
