Question Cam and lifters

To those who have rebuild 4.0s I am just curious how often you see them with worn out cams and lifters. Mine has 213XXX miles on the original engine. She still runs like a top, but i have a rebuilt head to put on there (valve seals were leaking and needed a project for school). I know the RIGHT way to do it would be to inspect the cam and lifters for wear, and replace as needed, but I am a poor college student. If wear is hardly ever seen on them I think I am just going to stick the head on. Let me know. Thanks

If u can determine the stock lift numbers (.405 for a '98), a dial indicator placed on the valve train will tell u if there's any wear and how much......just need to remove the valve cover.
