i think my A/c compressor is bad.. i recharged it 2 summers ago. and last summer i tried to recharge it and it blew cool but it made a really load squeeking noise!!!! then it went away then it would come back and go away.. didnt want to mess anything up so i just stopped using it. any suggestions on what it is?? and how to go about fixing and replacing the compressor if thats what it is step by step

 

See that the belt is good and tight, the AC puts quite a load on it. Next thing to check is the bearings in the AC clutch. Remove belt, spin by hand, feel for roughness or growling noise. Compressors usually grind when they blow
