Exclamation A/C Pulley Help !

I'm fairly new to this forum, but I couldn't find the answer when I searched.

I have a 2000 Jeep Cherokee Sport 4.0. My A/C compressor pulley has completely seized. I noticed when my belt snapped (it needed replace anyways). The clutch or nothing will move. I've tried disconnecting the wires to the compressor, disconnecting the battery (as I usually do when under the hood) and couldn't get it to budge. I've searched all around and can't find a bypass pulley for this model anywhere. I'm not too worried about getting the a/c to work, but I'd like to get my Jeep back on the road (or offroad) ASAP. I've found a used compressor at the local salvage yard. Would it be possible to swap compressors and just use the replacement compressor as a pulley? Would I still have to put freon and such in it? I guess I'm looking for a how to answer. Thanks in advance.

The answer is yes. You will not have to charge it. The low pressure safety switch will not let it come on anyway without a charge in it. So the bottom line is that it will act like an idler pulley.

Any lubrication issues, or any problems, I have to worry about doing it this way?

Thanks for the help!

No, the bearings in the clutch assembly are sealed.
