This may be very silly, but is there a way to tell if there is pressure in the A/C system?

Had it dye charged last summer and it leaked out in two weeks. No obvious signs, so I'm guessing the leak is in the evaporator core. There was one small amount of dye on the condenser connection. Thought I would change out all the o rings, re-tighten everything, pull vacuum and recharge with DIY coolant to see if that was the issue before pulling out the dash. Didn't want to assume there was no pressure on the system just because the a/c blows hot though.

Thoughts?
