So I have been looking into doing the conversion for a while now and have a couple questions:
1. there are two wires on the compressor that lead into one wire how do I hook a switch to that?
2. in one of the write ups the guy cut the lines on the aac pump slide some hose over it and then clamped it down, is this ok or is there a better way?

the only bad thing about doing this is trying to keep the compressor well oiled. if you take all the freon out which has an oil in it you will need to devise a system. for the oil. now you can clear out all the ac and just install a york.
Not the best pic, but similar to the above diagram... air filter / inline oiler into compressor, Out to check valve... (I had it messed up in the pic... it was pre compressor & its been moved) back along the fuel rail to a bulkhead fitting that enters under the back seat. Tees off for the pressure switch (114 on / 145 off) to hide the wires. Then hoes back to a Tee, at the bottom is a bleeder valve and it goes up top the tank. I put a tee on the tank for the blow off valve (150)
Bottom of the Tee is the coupler I just have a coil of hose for when I am ready to use it.

Heres where I put my switch, I can reach it with the door open... kinda helpful.

Very clean setup! I like it! Mines simply, but gets the job done.
Post pics when it's done. I'll add this also, you will love it! It's so easy and biulds air very fast. I have a bagged 67 Chevy truck with a 480c Viair and it takes 10-12 mins to fill my 7gal tank. I hate it! I'll do a 410 York on that truck very soon.

Clean setup. Did you just use the stock hoses and hook them up to hose barbs (thats what it looks like)? It looks like I got a different compressor than you.
Yeah I used hose barbs into my oem lines. and yes our compressors are different. Yours is probably a "better" one for this purpose. So I've read.
If I remember correctly the one wire off the compressor goes to the pressure switch. The power from the battery goes to the on off switch through a 20a fuse. then out from switch to the pressure switch. So it will only kick on when your switch is on.
...I'd say try searching around here or Naxja. If you need more info.

Got my switched finally hooked up. Now just got to get the freon emptied. Anybody know how to do this? I dont want to spend $60 to have it done.

You take one wire, it is all yo need, to the pressure switch, you will need one of those. In the above diagram, there is an oil separator. You can get kits that consist of a valve and hose that will take the oil to the crank case of the compressor.
