A/C not cold enough...new parts/recharge
Hey, recently replaced the evaporator core when i did my heater core a couple months or so ago. While I was at it i did the accumulator and liquid line.
Today I did the compressor and then took it in to the mechanics to get vacuum pulled and recharged. My A/C is now cool, but not cold, guess it is better than nothing. I was really hoping for cold A/C this time. It's getting freaking hot in Indiana.
Any ideas what could be a problem (if any)?

Verify that the Blend Air Door mechanism is working.
The '98 has a push-pull cable to operate the Blend Air Door.
Position yourself in the passenger footwell and look up to the corner under the HVAC unit, near the floor outlet. Turn the temp **** back and forth and see if the Blend Air Door mechanism is working (and all parts are there).

^This, I'd run down to Harbor Freight (they usually have the best price and their gauges are pretty good quality) or your local auto parts store and pick up a set of A/C gauges and check your numbers against factory spec. Since you just got it evacuated and recharged you "should" have the correct charge, but how much do you trust the shop? I've seen plenty of cases of shops under or overcharging the system. The gauges can also tell you of other issues such as plugged tubes if one side (high or low) is in spec and the other is way off.
