Default A/C issue. (Not vacuum related)

Ok guys, I'm in the middle of getting my a/c back up to par. Vacuum lines are all good, a/c works. But my problem is, under the dash, just to the right of the trans tunnel, there is a hole. When the air is on, it floods through this hole, and takes pressure away from the other vents. It is to the left of the blend door. Does anybody know what this is? And what I need to seal it or close it off??

Not real sure what I am looking at but, is this the hole for the vent that runs through the center console?

looks like a PO or someone swapped out a heater core at one point and either broke the plenum box or left part of it off.

Unfortunately not. But it's coming out of the same bellow. This hole is high-right of the rear vent. It seems like there would be a door there or something.

Well, heater core has never been changed. But was in a collision in 1996. (I'm 2nd owner, dad was PO, I wrecked it lol) maybe when they put it back together they left something off, it don't look broke. Just something missing. But I don't know what to even call it.
