With hope that spring comes I need to check the freon level on my daughters 98 Cherokee... There is no sight gauge which is all I am familiar with... Don't want to go to a shop as they only said they can drain and refill... Help??

 

The best way to service a/c is empty it, repair the leak, flush it, pull a vacuum, add the correct amount of compressor oil and freon. Hard to do correctly with a quick fix can of freon from the parts store.
