A/C fans not turning on

A/C fans not turning on
My 2001 XJ's A/C fans sometimes do not turn on when the a/c is turned on, or the a/c will be running fine with the fan on then all of a sudden fan will turn off. The A/C will still be working because i can feel the compressor kicking in. Is this an electrial problem? Anyone have any ideas on what this could be? Thanks in advance!
