All this talk about the low presser switch but like I said check the high presser switch. It can get stuck open

 

Just switch the relay takes 2 seconds if clutch still don't engage check other wire on clutch for for ground ...Chows on table gotta go...

 

Older xj only have low no high ...

 

True I looked in the manual and there isnt one listed

 

 

Tried a new relay no dice and how would I check for ground?

 

Check for power in to relay at green ,check for mower out at orange. Also check for ground all this done with relay in key in run position.

 

simple question-98 xj, turn on AC in truck, blows hot air, compressor does not click on. if i pull the pictured plug & QUICKLY jump left to right inside plug, i'm hoping to hear the compressor click on to know the compressor functions. is this correct?

 

Ya all you do is jump the two leads on the pug together

 

That will just tell you if the clutch works , function comes after filling with refrigerate ...
