The vacuum line by the headlight goes to the vacuum canister that is mounted behind the front bumper!! Get underneath the front and find out if the line broke or just pulled off from the canister. Without it hooked up the door will default to the defrost position.
There is no canister in the bumper it has an aftermarket bumper. The only canister I see is the gray one by the fire wall and that looks like it missing a connection but two other hoses are connected to it

Thats the fuel vapor canister. Look around, you should have a vacuum canister somewhere. If the system was working fine before, then your loosing the vacuum needed to make the system operate properly. If the line that your talking about has vacuum you need to find where it goes! Plug it and see if the control works right with the jeep running! If it does ,then you know where to start
ok now that i'm home i googled the canister and found how to fix my problem. since i don't have a canister i need a replacement i would go to my local junkyard by they've disposed off the clunkers cause obama said it was time or something. so does anyone have a part number for I'm going to see if the parts store has one.
