Has anyone on here bypassed the skim key. Like by. Putting the key in the column. Or taking the chip out?

I have only one key to my cherokee and I really don't want to spend the $$ to have one made and programmed.

I cut open. Spare junk key. The chip is really tiny.

I'm not sure how you would bypass it. The cheap way out, I suppose, is to have copies of your key cut using standard (non-skim) blanks. Then attach your skim key inside the column cover in close proximity to the lock cylinder.
