So I am in the middle of swapping my 2wd AW4 with a 4wd AW4.
I did not get a NSS with my 4wd AW4 and I already scrapped my 2wd AW4.
I could get a hold of it if need be but I am thinking-
Wouldnt it be easier to bypass the NSS? (and cheaper)
In the diagram looks like on the right (transmission range sensor)
Is the same as the NSS?
Probably wont have reverse lights, But for $280 who needs them.
Connecting WHITE to WHITE/BLACK wires would bypass it all together correct?

the n.s.s. also tells the TCU what gear the transmission is in. it will run and drive without it, but will throw a check engine code, and will likely shift a bit goofy. go get it off your 2wd trans after reading the link I sent you about removing it.
Don't bypass it, install a pushbutton switch if you can't get the NSS right now. If you bypass it by just connecting the wires it will report the selector as being in Park/Neutral all the time. You'll get a CEL and some transmission problems. Didn't seem to matter much on the older units, but it does on the newer.
Pushbutton lets you bypass to start and leaves the connections open otherwise, which is the normal condition for "D".

Hopefully I get my hands on one soon
