Default Burping the Renix 4.0, how many times?!

Hey guys,

So I recently did a heater/radiator flush on my good ole XJ -90. (closed system)
Now, I can't get her to idle properly. New t-stat, a Stant one, 195 (or 92 Celsius).
I can see on the gauge that the t-stat opens and works properly.

I have, for a few days now, backed her up and burped her through the temp sensor in the back of the block. It seems like I can do this over and over again, without air being completely gone.
Did it twice yesterday, with lots of driving in between. Even had the bottle cap off, and idled til coolant flowed over.

Then today I backed her up again, and let more air out of the temp sensor.

Is air getting into the system somehow?
Can't see any leaks at all, level of coolant seems constant. Oil is fine, fumes smells normal, coolant is blue and nice.

I'm baffled, ideas?

There's a lot of room for air in the system. Keep going or covert to an open system.

I guess the system should contain about 12 qts of coolant, and I'm pretty certain I don't have that much in yet.
But gawd, how much air is in this thing?!

You are not trying to get pressure bottle to be completly filled it should be about a inch or two from the bottom this allows for expansion .

Well the only time the bottle fills up is when I idle with the cap off. Otherwise the level is fine, well seems fine since there's probably air still in there...

Gotta weld up a ramp for this...

Thinking more about doing that... But it's my DD and with my basic skills it'll take a week or so to get her running again. Maybe this summer, looking to buy a ZJ so, I'll have two Jeeps!

Yeah... You know it should only take regular people 20 minutes to change a t-stat?
Takes me a lot longer... I am a natural to step into problems that aren't there, plus I'm dumb when it comes to mechanics.. Getting better though!
