Default Burned blower resistor connector 2001

So started the truck this morning and within 30 seconds a horrible burning stench...isolated to something with the blower. Found the 3 rd pin on the resistor melted off and still in the connector with much melting. Anyone know where to get a new connector pigtail...thanks

What AWG said. Just make sure to use insulated ones. The lack of the terminal block should allow better heat dissipation.

I'd pull the blower and check the motor and fan cage. Make sure it's spins freely and there's no debris on the cage or in the duct.

Checked the control panel today..all contacts clean no smell...have the offending smelly connector for resistor cut off.. ran fan on hi only...only choice with no resistor no smell after 5min, its a 6 month old fan... spins freely no smell from airstream with fan running seems only connector and resistor damaged. Hard finding small 0.11 female spade connector to fit 12 and 14 gauge wires... resistor was all rusty, obviously caused overheat almost instantly...day before 0 smell prior
