Bull Bar Install
I just bought a tubular A frame type bull bar for my stock UK 2001 XJ cherokee from ebay. The bar is correct for the XJ and it came with all the relvant brackets, bolts etc.
My question is does anyone know where the flat brakets fit to the Jeep? I can see that the plastic under the bumper comes away just where the bar will fit but I can't see anything there that the brackets would fit to.
Any ideas or pics would be great
thanks in advance

here are some pics:
I thought that once I had removed the plastic under bumper/fender in pic 3 (this is just showing a fixing bolt that fits through the plastic and into the main bumper/fender) then the black bracket in the second picture would fit somewhere. The 4th pic shows the radiator surround which is where I thought the mounting location would be but there is nothing there that I can see.
thanks

OK, after trawling the internet for hours I can't find much info on this at all. But, I wonder if the mounting brackets bolt to the frame where the factory tow hooks would be? Mine doesn't have any tow hooks fitted but I'm guessing that the pre drilled holes will be in the frame and when it came down the production line the hooks got fitted or didn't depending on model.
Does this mean a removal of the front bumper?
