So first off I built my new intake so I can suck better



but in doing so I found that the... let me back up.

The cooling system has started giving me problems, i over heated but it was 88* outside and I had been driving for quite awhile.

So I got into the cooling system, I flushed and filled with 50/50, got a water pump but haven't installed yet (i've only over heated once since getting it) also changed all the hoses that were bloated and cracked.

I noticed two things, the overflow bottle isn't attached <-- no problem.

#2 the overflow bottle's over flow hose goes over into the windshield wipers bottle, as the jeep gets to hot the water flows into the windshield bottle as a second overflow bottle.

Has anyone ever heard of this? Does it help or should i claim my windshield bottle back ?

Sounds like someone was having an overheating problem and that was thier answer. I would fix it and have a washer bottle. If you have the water pump might as well go ahead and install it....

Retest and see what happens.

I'm going to have to look at another xj for my year, the overflow bottle isn't the right one for my year, it doesn't mount anywhere.

Can someone post up a pic of an 87-88 xj with their overflow bottle and where their overflow hose runs to.
