97+ mirrors are a direct bolt in but you prob need to runs a bit of caulk around the outside housing it kinda gaps at the top. Just did this today awesome. Thanks, I put them on my 91 BTW

Quick question on axles for my 98, i have found a D30 up front for my 1998 but its out of a 2000/2001, it has the same gears and everything, i was just looking at the post on the first page saying that 97-99 were HP front ends...would i have any problems dropping it into my 98? Thanks guys

entire axle. I don't know how it affects the transfer case, if at all
I think the geometry of some things are different, which is why the switched to the low-pinion in the first place. Do a search i'm sure someone has dealt with this before.

nice write up. thanks
i found out that ford ranger rear leaf springs work great. They bolt right under the stock winpy top leaf of the xj. they hold anything you put in you jeep with out any sagging. I got my packs for 11 bucks at the junk yard off a 89 ranger. just break the center pin and take the free leafs. Then just bolt them up to your stock xj main leaf. Done

Its pretty simple just take the door panels off pull the triangle piece that is on the inside of the door where the mirror is and unscrew the three hex screws and install the new mirrors
