Get some adjustables if the budget allows, it will allow you to set caster correctly which can help alleviate steering issues. Usually $200 for a set of adjustables. If not, get some fixed length ones for however much lift those coils give you. Check craigslist or forum classifieds. I saw a set for $65.

Whats the difference between the stock lower control arms and after market? Are they longer? I mean arms for a4.5 " lift. Cause I just do the bastard pack and was thinking about making some lowers for the xj and was wondering how much longer they are and what kind of tube they are? Are they solid or hollow? Thank you
Just ordered C1500 front soft lines and Dakota rear soft lines, will be getting them and installing tomorrow if all goes well I will report back. Getting them from Napa for under $40 for all 3

X2 on the numbers. Also, if you could compare the chevy lines to the stock ones with a tape measure that would help out immensely. At 6" of lift and on a budget, things get interesting.

Can I use a rear DS from a Comanche or did they have a slip yolk as well? Looking for a cheaper way to get the right driveshafts after my SYE. I know front XJ and rear ZJ ones can be used, just wondering if a rear MJ will work as well.

Just take ur Xj or zj front drive shaft and use them , if they are available to u , use what works and other people can vouch for
Ill get a picture of them installed and grab the part numbers soon, I highly recommend the fronts, however the rear Dakota line is kinda funky, no way to really "mount" the junction block to the axle. The rear also requires bubble flares and that the hard lines on the axle be bent differently. The flares turned out to be a nightmare for me, didn't know what the hell was going on.

I was reading something in the Homebrew Jeep Mods thread about a Chevy s10 Blazer rear bumper tire carrier. Anyone have pictures of this, or maybe more info regarding year/make/models of tire carriers that will work for XJs???

I've been lookin at modifying a swing out tire carrier from junkyard here soon .... After I do it I'll get some photos .... Thinkin I'll have to armor up the quarter panel so I can have a super solid mount point ....
S10 leaf pack, shackles for the rear. There are numerous different ways for the front, brand new springs arent too pricey either. Once you go over 3" you start to hurt the factory geometry. You will need steering compoments and may have to do a SYE to make it drive well.
