10. OEM swing-out tire carriers, get the bumper with it, found mainly on '84-'90 XJ's
What would one have to do to make this fit without the '84-'90 bumper. Or what will it take to put on a '84-'90 bumper on a '98 (would it be a direct bolt on?)

great info here, looking for intieor info, I have replaced my overhead console with one from a astro van, no compass or temp display on it, but no cloth either so dont have to worry about recovering. I know the subaru foster and some monteros come with a on the dash altemitor, compass, temp, or inclinometer, any body else know of any other donor vehicles that have a in dash or on dash mounted compass temp display? I know alot have rear view mirrors with these, but they dont last long enough at my jy.
here is a link to the foster one,

and the montero one, some have other gauges than compass, temp

I've been told by a Jeep dealership and a guy who specializes in just Jeep trannies that you can only go 1 year behind or ahead. As in, you should be able to use an '86 or an '88 and of course an '87. '91-'99 have different computer controls and different plugs and wiring.
