Default Brush Bar and trailer wires

ok guys i have tried to search the write ups and cant find any. I have two questions if you could help me out. One is, how do you mount a brush bar, or ram bar whatever you call it. I have dry fitted it to see how it goes and can not find a way that makes sense. The other is i just mounted a trailer hitch, but how and where do i attach the wiring for the plug? any information would be great. Thanks

Also. it is a 96 xj sport

First of all, does your Jeep have tow hooks? If not, there are holes in the frame for the tow hook brackets to bolt to and I believe some brands bolt to those brackets.

If it does have hooks, the tow hooks may need to come off to make way for the brush guard...

Is the brush bar specifically for an XJ or is it generic or for another vehicle? Posting a pic may help identify the company and you might be able to contact them to find out how/if you can mount it. I wouldnt mount tow hooks to the brush bar unless it was specifically designed for them. If it wasn't the mounting may not be adequate to do recovery.

As far as the trailer wiring you should be able to splice it right into the tail light wiringing. Should be pretty easy if you have a wiring diagram to show what color wires control what light.

ive got a 89 and i have a Uhaul trailer wire hookup... you just unplug the stock wire harness on the left side behind all the plastic and hook this in its place... thats whay i did on my ZJ also... it was already on my XJ... you can just splice into the wires and it would be cheaper... but which ever will work... i cant remember what i paid for my kit for the ZJ... got it off ebay though...
