Broken Steering Box Spacer!
I took the steering box bolts out to better attach my winch bumper. Ended up breaking 2 of them, was able to get them out using a pipe wrench and 5 hours. But the spacer is in 20 different pieces.
I ordered the JCR spacer but it may or may not be here for the weekend. I replaced the bolts using just some grade 8 7/16-14 4" bolts from the local hardware store, and used a 5/8 nut and a single washer on each one of the bolts to act as a spacer. Will this be okay for me to going on a light wheeling trip on Saturday without risking anything breaking?? I'm only running 30" tires AT tires
Thank you!
