Ive got a 99 Cherokee Sport. I just bought it and some how I overlooked the fact that the drivers door doesn't lock. When you push the button it makes noise but the lock toggle itself doesnt move. It is actually jammed and I cant move it at all.

I can move the actual latch that should lock with my finger but it doesnt move when you push the button. Ill rip it apart Sunday but am wondering if anyone else has had this problem?

I found this out because my tap deck adapter that I use for my I pod was stolen this morning. It was literally the only thing in the car. At least it only cost $4 and I didnt leave my lap top in there. Nothing like good old Kalamazoo, MI...

 

take it apart and clean and lube it and see if it unfreezes
