Default Broke down Quick questions

Driving to work today and my 1994 XJ just cut off while going down the street. Cranks strongly but will not turn over. Found the big 30 AMP Engine Control 1 fuse was blown. It keeps blowing out again everytime I replace it. Any common reasons for this?

Have had a check engine light coming on recently. Code 41 Alternator Field. Could the alternator cause this Engine Control fuse to blow in some way? Thanks.

OK back on the road. Turned out my oxygen sensor wires were laying against my exhaust manifold and had melted thru and that is what kept blowing the fuse.
