Hey fellas my high beams turned on by themselves and they won't turn off now. My multifunctional switch couldn't have caused it to my knowledge because after I swapped it when the old one died I lost some piece that let them turn on like normal(pulling it back). I never used them so I didn't stress bout it. So what can I do to get them off besides tearing into the column again? any fuses or wires I can remove? Thanks!

check out the Dimmer switch, 35$ at dealer or napa, under dash on left upper side of column, one plug, 2 screws (tough to get at but a can do) no need to pull column. your signal rod activates when pulled back. I'v e burned thru a couple. now I use the powr thru the dimmer to control a relay i added. the relay puts the powre to the lights, no burned out dimmer since. of course there is the majic formula for jeep preventative maintenance: oh ya, i carry a spare switch. What ever part, if you have a spare, that part will no longer fail. check your dimmer switch for burned contacts at the light green coloured wires.
