Brakes dragging?
1996 cherokee 4.0l.
Less than 10K miles ago. New pads, shoes, brake lines, wheel cylinders, drums. Drag feeling while driving. While applying brakes not getting any noises. Bearings?
Thanks

Has the drag been going on since you replaced all these things? Or did it just start after 10K?

Hi. My Cherokee has the original bearings after 22 years and over 260,000mi. Easy to crawl under and see if your emergency brake cable seems tight. The way that's made they grab more going forward than backward. Also about the last step after changing shoes is to adjust them out to where they are just touching. Somebody might have overdone that a bit. Good luck, Don.

They are pro'lly dirty now ( rear brakes ) IF they are out of adjustment, and you dont have that caliper thing, take the drum off. Backup.... Get a couple can of brake cleaner. Now take apart the drums. Clean the holy **** out of them! back down the adjuster a smidge until the shoes just barely get in the drum. Like a can per side, use a lil soft wire brush. Just spray and brush. once all that brake dust is out, drive backwards about 10-15 mph and slam on the brakes. DO this like 10 times maybe 15. They will adjust them selves. But they need to be clean.
Disclaimer if the shoes are messed up you need to replace and not adjust
