brakes
long story short my wheel fell off and botched all the guts of my brakes... i picked up a whole rear end with all the goods attached from some guy and didnt realize that the drums and stuff were of a different variety than the ones i have. specifically the drums are smaller and have a smooth outer as opposed to the one currently on mine which the drum is finned and larger. Would it work to swap both of the smaller ones and put em on mine or would it be better just to hunt down the correct size and replace the one side? i already have some money into the parts that i got.......

It's up to you, more work to take off the other side, opposed to just getting parts for bad side and putting them on. The smaller ones will work fine, just have to remember when ordering shoes in the future.

What parts do you need? Replacing the drums, shoes, and hardware for both sides is only around $100.
If that is out of your price range then just swap the small stuff over. Rear brakes are overrated.
