My .02 is plain Jane auto store rotors with a set of aggressive pads. EBC makes some yellow stuff pads for our XJs. X2 on filling in the guide notches. I've done 3 pairs just this year.

Only reason changing is slight warpage causing drag and vibration/heat on the high way, can always tell when "Oh gosh my brake pedal is really nice and high and stiff" that you have a dragging caliper Lol.

Free shipping and 10 yr guarantee. Local part advance wants $60 for one rotor. Didn't even price the pads but ceramic pads? At least $30.
So believe it or not I have been in constant contact with powerstop and amazon through phone and email for the past two days. My car is immobile as the old drums had failed and they are refusing to refund me. Basically what happened was I bought a complete drum replacement kit with pads, springs and the drum itself and after using the springs and pads they say they can not refund me because I have used part of the kit. How would I go about contacting the NTSB their page is very hard to navigate. This is just unacceptable at this point.

Imagine I had not looked at the welds and put them on my car... Could have caused a serious accident

EBC yellow is not a good DD pad. Lots of dust and they wear the rotor faster then normal if you dont get them up to temp. Its a good pad for a street car that likes to do auto-x but too aggressive for DD use on a Jeep IMO. I have the EBC blue on my Evo and they are even worse.

Yep they require more maintenance and wear rotors faster but that is why I use the cheap throw away rotors. They still remain the most cost effective means to improve braking ability. Gonna need to wash those rims.

Well if you know what you are getting yourself into, by all means, have at it! I do like that the yellows dont really have to warm up to get a good bite, unlike the blues. So if increased performance is what you are after and already know all the downsides to them, they are a great pad.
