Brake Problems
I have a 1997 Cherokee Country with a brake pedal that goes all the way to the floor when depressed. The booster, master cylinder, proportioning valve, and front calipers have all been changed. The brakes have been bleed repeatedly to no avail. I have also blown air through the line from the proportioning valve to the rear wheels. The brakes hold great, but when you depress the brake pedal it goes to the floor. Any help would be appreciated; thank you.

The rear shoes are adjusted properly, I am not losing fluid, and the wheel cylinders are good. As soon as you start the vehicle, the pedal goes to the floor. I have good brakes, but I do not have a pedal.

Did you bleed the callipers and the wheel cylinders? I recently had to replace my wheel cylinders and my car did this until bled correctly/fully.
- I just loosened off the bleed screw a bit and pushed the air out of one, tightened it up then did the other etc.
- first time round I evidently did not purge it correctly so had to repeat the process.
You did state that the system has been bled but thought I'd just mention it.
I'm interested to hear what others might suggest.
Goodluck.
