Default Brake problem! Need Help!!!

This past weekend I changed both my front brake calipers out with some new ones on my 1990 xj every thing went fine until I went to bleeding them. I had drained all the old fluid out and refilled it with new, and began bleeding I got it to where it was solid fluid coming out. Now The problem! when I pump the pedal it takes like 15-20 pumps to get the pedal up then if i let it sit for a couple seconds and hit it again it goes STRAIGHT to the floor. I was watching the resivor and had some one else pump the pedal up it looked like when the pedal is released the fluid slowly surges back into the rezzy.!!!!! If any one has any Ideas I could use em!!

Thanks.

First off, you should never, ever let the reservoir/master cylinder go dry...EVER.
You will most likely need to bench bleed the master cylinder to ensure you got all of the air out of the system.
Im not sure what TJ told you in his PM. I hope it helped

yeh if u let the master cylinder dry it probably has air in it, causing the pedal to go to the floor....even though u have solid fluid at the calipers..air can get trapped in the master cylinder itself, and will prolly need to be removed to bench bleed, which if this is the case u might just want to replace it if it is a factory part.....
