Default brake pedal deppresion

I just replaced my booster and master cylinder but when I got in the pedal went to the floor I took the master cylinder out and shortened the push rod now its better but it still starts to engage pretty far down what I don't get from other threads: shoud I shorten.it more or make it longer?

Thanks

make it longer. it's not pushing the plunger in the master. but if you go too far, you will drag the brakes. it's a matter of trial and error.

i had mine apart on the tj many times until i found the length that works, gonna remove it when it gets warmer to fine tune it a bit more.
