WOW!!! Did you really have to ask this question in 3 different post? Just because you title 3 different ways doesn't mean you will get a response any faster.

Get a tubing bender, some bulk brake line, a flare kit, and do it yourself...probably cheaper and easier than finding them online anyways

Yeah about the three post lol it keep saying duplicate post and didn't think it posted lol. As for the bender the two front brake lines are fairly complexed I'll try to get a pic up much rather just pay a bit than spend hours swearing but thanks for the feed back

Brake line is easy to shape, don't really even need a bender but that makes it a little neater. Take your old line off, measure, go to store, buy line closest in length (next longer length) and make it work. Worst case is you have to have a little slack built into you bends to take up a inch or two extra. It's not hard to do at all.

I bought all preshaped lines for my 00' from the dealer. They were actually very reasonably priced, even the one going from the booster to the rear junction box. Putting that one in was a bit of a challenge but not too bad.

Hey Kalali - when did you buy your pre-bent lines? The dealer just told me today that they no longer have pre-bent in stock for my '96 XJ - unless they changed between '96 - '00.

Does anyone know a place that sells pre-bent brake lines? New to Jeep, but the usual places do not have anything. Have the tools and bulk line from another project, but time would be worth the right price.

I hate to hijack a thread but my '94 will be needing new lines soon also. What kind of flair tool (single or double) does the XJ take and if I replace all the lines, how many feet will I need to order.

When doing lines for the rear brakes ... Look for a brake line kit with 25 to 30 feet of tubing that has the correct size tubing and fittings for the jeep. (I remember all of the flares being the same except for one flare on a short piece near the MC.)

Kits usually run around 20 to 30 bucks .. for a 25 foot roll with included fittings.

I remember 25 feet being enough for all of the rear lines, with additional line left over .. I didn't do the fronts and can't remember if 25 feet is enough for both front and rear. Potentially there can be badly rusted areas that can be spliced into good parts of the OE lines.

The OE rears along the axle come with spiral armor, when replacing some people forgo the armor ... A roll of brake line armor can be found for around $20.00 ..

Flaring tool kits ... don't need to be expensive when rarely or occasionally used. .. usually what wears out are the small replaceable flare press inserts.

You may also want a brake line (flare nut) wrench set or single wrench the correct size ... the connections are sometimes difficult to remove and tighten without a flare nut wrench. The nuts often become stripped, etc. when using an open end.

These come in varying quality, the less expensive ones seem to work ok for light use.

Thank you Muddz. Great response! I just purchased the flaring tool off of eBay. I was not aware you could by the armored line in bulk. I have replaced complete brake line sets using preflared lengths but it is so expensive and leaves too many fittings to potentially leak.
I have 3 trucks waiting for me to "help" fix their brake lines and I don't think mine will last the winter.
Do you have a preferred source for delron coated brake lines and the armor in 50 to 100 ft lengths? I'm in Cincinnati and we pre-treat our roads with beet juice. I have never seen so many brake lines and radiators corroded since they started using beet juice to prevent icing on the roads.
Thanks again

It has been several years , spools use to come in 15, 20 and 25 foot sections starting around 15.00 to 20.00 dollars, the price seems to have gone up, the price is now the same for a 10' section.

http://www.classicindustries.com/sho...e-lines-hoses/

You could try e-mailing or calling and ask if larger spools are available or know of a dealer who sells 100 foot sections.

I would also try a wholesaler, which may be more difficult to find. Or perhaps an autoparts dealer who sells bulk items to auto repair shops, etc.

Wholesalers may divide larger spools and sell 100 foot spools, I am assuming spools from the manufactures are much larger. e.g. 500 - 1000+ foot spools, etc. .... sizes and weights that are best for transport and storage.

Sorry, that's not working right now

I found and purchased a 100ft coil of PVF coated 3/16" steel brake line on eBay. It was $47.05 + $10.00 shipping. That's just .57 cents per foot (parcelpartsonline@sbcglobal.net). I'm still looking for the right price on armored line in 3/16. Thanks again for the help.

If you're in an area that rusts out brake pipes quickly you might want to have a look at Kunifer pipe (cupro-nickel) for rust resistance.

I looked at copper nickle lines and it's just more than I can afford right now. I'm sure copper-nickle or stainless is a much better choice, I just can't afford it.
According to reports I've read, the PVF coating makes the steel lines 30x as rust resistant as uncoated steel. I know that it does scratch pretty easy. Only time will tell.
