We’re here to help, but you must understand that all Jeeps are not the same.
In order for us to give you more accurate advice and help, we must know the following, as applicable, along with detailed information as to the symptoms/problems etc:
Year
Model
Engine
Transmission
Transfer case
Could be several things but I would start by cleaning the bulb socket with emery cloth and applying a light coat of dielectric grease to the bulb contacts. There is a Molex connector behind the driver's side rear quarter panel that links the front harness with the hatch. That connector is prone to corrosion due to moisture, I would separate the connector, clean, and apply dielectric grease to the contacts. You may also need to pre-tension the individual sockets by compressing the metal female receiver slightly with an awl or other pointy thing.
