Hello this is my first jeep it broke down and i found that i need to replace the brake booster the only problem is i cant find a way to remove the retaining clip that connects the booster to the brake pedal.Ive look around and only thing I can find is to just remove it by hand .I can push down on part of the clip and it will slide forward a little bit but it wont come off.I don't want to have to break it off and buy a new in case i damage something pulling it off.
What is the best way to go about removing the retaining clip?

if you pull up on the center section enough, it should just bend enough to let it slide off. then just bend it back in to close the gap for the reinstall.
that's all i've ever done.
