When I step on the Brake the dash like by the 4wd lever light come on what could be ?

What does the light say or what it the pic of the light. How about a pic. We can't help if we don't know what and or where the light is.

The red brake light don't come on just my mileage light goes off an my lever by the 4wd lever

Look under see if any wires are being pulled by arm to pedal yet ?

It's the brake light switch parking lights come on when brake Pedel is being pressed

Replace the brake light bulbs, you may have one cross shorting to the park light element when you step on the brakes.

I've seen it more than once. Took a lot of head scratching before I finally found it was just a stupid bulb causing the problem.
