Default Both foglights out?

Both of my foglights are out..
  • Brand new bulbs
  • Fuse in the fuse box in the engine compartment is good
  • as far as I can tell the relay is good?
  • Not getting power to the connection about 4" away from fog light
Do you guys have any ideas? Is there some type of in-line fuse or a weak link that you guys know of?

Yes factory foglights on a 2001 Jeep cherokee sport. Switch also lights up when pressed so the switch is getting power, which leads me to think the relay is functional.

I had same prob in both my 99's, the switch lights up, but if you take it apart, it is melted inside. This is very very common. There is a write up on how to make it work, but a new switch is better. I used my fogs all the time, which would melt the stock switch within a few months. Rebuild link for you. Again new is better working, but free fixing is better..... https://www.cherokeeforum.com/f51/ho...-switch-28667/

also check the molex connector under the air filter housing I was going crazy trying to figure out some wiring issues (fog lights not working included) and I found that harness practically fell apart when I touched it. 3 wires actually broke off when I moved it. good luck.

It was not the switch.. I took it apart and it looked perfect and put it back together and niether turn on still. I will look for the molex connector.. not really sure what it is but I'll try to find it!
