Default Bored throttle body issue

Alright so today i bored out my throttle body (yay!) to 62mm. Along with my spacer(because even tho i do not feel they do anything i still have it...) But my problem is the butterfly plate is now to small. I know it is not suppose to seal completely however there is TO MUCH gap around the edges and the IAC can not make up the difference an idle of 1500-2000 wont cut it.....

any suggestions on how to correct this?

I already got a new after breaking my first one.

i like having a completely bored out throttle body.

It was done on a metal lath to exactly 62mm. and then smoothed out.

No whistle at all. I didnt leave any sharp edges either. I was able to take a sanding disk on the dremel to all edges before we smoothed the TB out for the final time

so 22ga steel was 3.49 for a 6"x18" piece. picked that up and used the original butterfly disk as a template. cut the new one and "rounded it" both using a dremel. Came out prefect. Popped it in and started it up. BAM no more high idle, it idles nice and smooth.

Took it for a test drive. wow. what a great improvement for throttle response!

Saved yourself about 100 bones!

I take it the lathe worked better then the hand drill experiment? How is the butt dyno, any gain in power or just in response?
