Default Bolts size for front seats??

Hello everyone. I'm looking for the bolt sizes of the bolts that hold the seat bracket to the floor pan. Ive noticed that my jeep only has two per seat and I would like to get them secured ASAP. I did a quick search on here but was not able to find the answer. I drive a 2000 classic if that makes a difference. Thanks in advance.

Remove 1 of the 2 bolts see if it threads into the other hole if it does take that bolt with you to the store & match it up, done.

Pretty much what I was gonna say. Take one out of the passenger seat and hit the hardware store. Pretty simple to do. Oh yeah that "smack" sound your hearing now is you palm slapping yourself in the forehead.

M8-1.25x25m/m for the screws, use flange heads, min. PC 10.9.

M8-1.25 for the stud nuts, if present. Use flanged nuts, min. PC 10.9.

That's why I'm trying to compile a listing on my site - www.kelleyswip.com/tech.html, and follow the links.

Sorry, I guess I should have mentioned the current bolts are not stock and they seem to have to much resistance while threading them in. They do tighten down, but it takes more effort than it should during mid thread. I will try the size mentioned by 5-90.

Keep Calm and Jeep On!

5/16"-18 UNC SAE and M8-1.25 ISO are often confused, and will begin threading into each other. You cna push it from there - but you'll bugger up the threads.

If it comes down to it, I suggest just drilling out the holes, cutting the rivnuts off of the bottom, and using a flanged head bolt, a fender washer under the floorboard, and a standard hex nut under an acorn nut (the acorn nut would serve as both a locknut and protection for the end of the bolt threads.)

The fender washer will be a good inch and a half to two inches in diameter, spreading the clamping load out over more sheetmetal. Either that, or fabricate a larger "spreader plate" to get even more distribution of clamping forces and defense against seat pullout.

Bolts are in, threads are going bad. Oh well, next time I'll drill. On a side note, I managed to pull the carpet and bed line the inside.
