Default Blue Torch Fab DIY 8.25 Diff cover

I recently installed an SYE and my shims in the rear diff caused the rear diff cover to be a little more vulnerable. I decided I hadn't mig welded in over 10 years and was dying to get back into it. I ordered a Blue Torch Fab do it yourself diff cover and welded it up. It turned out pretty good considering it was the first time I welded in so long.

By the way, the cover is 1/4 plate and the ring is 3/8". I welded it inside and out and there are no leaks.

Thanks for all of the comments. I really enjoyed the project. I have been trying to figure out what to do next so I can weld some more.

I started on the inside so I was able to run a few beads before I welded the outside of the cover. Even the welds on the inside looked good, but the welds on the outside of the cover were definitely straighter and more uniform. Thanks again for the comments.

Thats one bad cover you got there. Looks sweet, I wish I had the skills to put that together if i bought one. Dead line, I'm jealous.
